about emma
"her style of poetry is refreshing because it’s reminiscent of old poets and she keeps it uniquely true to who she is as an individual. she has a strong voice and a gift when it comes to coming up with the most appropriate phrases to evoke an emotional reaction in the reader. everything that we may notice about our surroundings has been covered in her poems, with as much beauty as is expected of an innately talented writer/poetess."

hi, i'm emma
i don't know if it's something about wanting to leave something behind, a legacy of sorts, or wanting to be a change that moves through somebody that in itself doesn't last, but is a trickle of oil that begins greasing a cog, the ignition that starts a fire burning, a motor running. i want to create words to unstick us from ourselves, until we have enough space to be able to see ourselves from a distance, great enough to get a sense of scale of the little 'i', great enough to see how we are an endless serenade with everything material and immaterial that we brush up against, and also all bruised by it.
